Project ”Wall Climbing Robot for Ship Rust Removal Based on High Pressure Waterjet” Won the Team Championship of the Second CAS Innovation & Engineering Competition (Shenzhen Division)

On September 13th, 2016, the final contest of the second CAS Innovation & Engineering Competition (Shenzhen Division) was held in Qianhai Shenzhen-Hongkong Youth Innovation and Entrepreneur Hub. Our center attended this competition with the project “wall climbing robot for ship rust removal based on high pressure waterjet” and the visiting student Jinyu Mao representing our center held the roadshow.

This project integrated high pressure waterjet rust removal, vacuum pumping and discharging, and rust removal based on high pressure waterjet technology. The operations, which includes cleaning the rust with high pressure water jet, pumping and recovering the rust with vacuum, and loading rust removal washer with large wall climbing robot, makes it safe and reliable to use with environment protection, high efficiency and high quality.

Eventually, the project won the team championship and got the investment intention of live investment agencies after the competition.
